Initial Consultation (60 minutes)
- Review health history, family history, labs, previous dieting habits, activity level
- Discuss habits that are currently working for you and other habits that you would like to change
- Provide a meal plan that is specialized to your needs that you can live with the rest of your life
Follow-up Sessions (30-60 minutes)
- Provide the client with “truthful” and up-to-date nutrition knowledge for their specific goals
- Discuss the top emotions people eat over and how to redirect your neurological pathway to change this behavior
- Educate client on ways to be more effective in their exercise program so not to de-condition themselves
- Support clients to understand how “deprivation backlash” leads to more disordered eating
Phone Appointments
Phone consults are conducted just like regular one-on-one sessions. I send you information via email weekly that is needed for your following weekly session. Your food diaries can be text or emailed back to me before our following sessions.
Restaurant Outings
- Walk through the old beliefs as eating specific “fear” food and get help on changing these to healthier ones
- Teach client how to listen to their hunger/fullness cues while eating
Grocery Store Outings
- Take client to grocery store to help develop meal plans with the clients like/dislikes in mind
- Provide meal options that are easy and quick to prepare but yet balanced in nutrition and yummy
- Educate client on recommended name brands of certain food to reach their specific goals
- Teach client how to read the labels
